1 cup of orange juice

½ cup of uncooked Dim Fonio

1 table spoon of rose water

2 table spoon of coconut oil or unsalted butter

2 tablespoons of chopped, blanched butter

2 tablespoons of golden raisins

3 tablespoons chopped unsalted pistachios

¼ cup can sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground gloves

3 tablespoons pomegranate seeds.


In a saucepan, bring orange juice, water, and fonio to boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for one minute.

Remove from heat and let stand for about four minutes. Remove lid, fluff mixture with a fork and fold in coconut oil and raisins.

Add almonds, pistachios, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and gently stir to combine. Garnish with rose petals and pomegranate seeds and enjoy your Sweet Rose Fonio.
